Responsibilities
- As a Metaphrasis medical interpreter you will assist our healthcare clients in providing quality medical care while improving service outcomes through professional interpreting
- Demonstrate professionalism through appearance, demeanor, attitude, punctuality and compliance
- Maintain a desire for professional growth in the interpreting industry
- Flexibility to accept interpreting assignments during normal business hours from 8am -5pm (M-F), (before and after business hours/holidays and weekends is a plus)
- Travel to various facilities within the Chicago region
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Proficient in English and a second language
- Authorized to work in the US
- Candidates must provide proof of successful completion of minimum 40 hrs. of medical interpreter training and language assessments (oral/written)
- The candidate must possess strong linguistic skills, interpreting techniques, understanding of medical terminology, adhere to interpreter code of conduct, comply with HIPPA regulations and industry ethical standards.
- Experience with online scheduling portals is a plus
